Arts & Crafts - Warren Cove House
|
EXISTING COTTAGE - "before" The photo, above, shows the existing cottage. It sits on a granite block foundation that measures 22'x50'. The cottage sits on a site with a wooded back yard. During the winter months when the trees have minimal foliage the back yard offers a peek at the coastal Atlantic ocean. The existing house will be transformed to a bungalow with the addition of a 1 car garage and precedence Arts & Crafts Details. |
NEW RENOVATION SKETCH - "after" Above is a quick "concept" sketch for the new renovation. The existing house "foot print" and foundation will remain the same with the addition of the 1 car garage and link to the left. When Cheryl begins a project, she comes up with a series of sketches the attempt to meet her clients program for space and budget. Once she can pin-point a direction - that pleases her client - the design begins to evolve with a series of more detailed sketches and finally computerized construction documents. |

New Renovation photo "After" The photo, above, shows construction progress of the Warren Cove House. The photo shows the new garage addition with bonus room (dormer) above. The dormer has laced shingled corners and a base flare feathered back to meet the window sill. The existing house has been re-shingled and a new portico has been added. The existing house was "gutted" and remodeled with a new Great room, Kitchen, Dining and Bedroom. |
The Details The photo above shows the custom rake board cut that Cheryl designed for her arts and crafts renovations. The "cut-out" piece is in the shape of a half-heart. When the craftsmen cut these rake boards on the site, they save all the "cut-outs" and put the halves together to form hearts. When Cheryl comes to visit the site during construction the craftsmen present her with a stack of hearts. They know she loves her work. Builder: Chet Fayhe 508-224-4364 |
